I don't need all the extra category/class/type columns, or the glider columns. How can I get rid of them?
Go to Logbook Settings, then Flight Log Format. For each heading description box click the button to make
that column either "displayed" or "hidden". Your Flight Log and Pilot Currency will always match these preferences.
You can change these settings as often as you need. Any flight data in a column which
you decide to "hide", will remain there; you can redisplay it later.

I need an extra column for a special purpose, and I don't use S.I.C. time. Can I use that column?
Yes. Go to Logbook Settings, then Flight Log Format, and find the column heading you wish to override with your own description, ex. "Amphib Time". You can type your own heading description right over
it. The Flight Log will reflect this
immediately. You may override the description on any column marked with "O"
above it.

I have several logbooks. Do I need to enter all of my flight records to get all the advantages?
You do not necessarily need to enter all of those flight records. The
minimum you would need to enter would be the last 24 month's worth. That will be
enough to give you good analysis. If you decide not to enter all of them in your
flight log you should
calculate the totals for those records which are not entered, and create one or
more "summary" flight log records, representing that experience. As an example,
you could create one record for each a/c type. Those summary records can later
be expanded into more detailed flight records.
However, we recommend if at all possible to enter all of your
flight records. You will have the advantage of them all being in one location, and you will get more thorough analysis.

I fly for a major airline. Does this thing have any capability to check
duty time limitations?
Yes! You can define your own duty time limit and maximum TOLs or approaches allowed on
a given flight. When you enter a flight record the program will check your flight time and TOLs/approaches
against your limits. If you are over you will get a message. You may, however override the warning and enter the value.

I want to add my FE time to the program. What is the recommended way to
show that and still have all the numbers come out right?
You can easily add FE time to your logbook, by adding a category and class called "Flight", "Engineer". You can then log FE time and keep it out of AMEL time,
while still getting good analysis. Here's what you do...
1. Go to Logbook Settings, then A/C Categories and Classes.
2. Under A/C Category Ratings, add: "Flight"
3. Under A/C Class Ratings, add "Engineer".
4. Go back to Flight Log Format
5. Select an empty blue Category box and select the category: "Flight" and the class: "Engineer". Make sure it is displayed.
6. Go back to your Flight Log and log your FE time in the new "Flight Engineer" column, and you can put the time in Total Flight Duration
(TT) column also.
